The Jamboree is a family event with free admission and free activities for all ages, including great live music all day by a popular local band, hayrides, animals to pet, pony rides, lots of games and activities for children, a rock climbing wall, tours of the 74 acre farm, and live and silent auctions and a gift table with a variety of donated goods and services, many at bargain prices! Food and beverages will be available. Our annual Founder’s Day award ceremony will honor a local supporter for his/her contributions to Dawn Farm and the recovering community. Dawn Farm welcomes all to join us and share in celebrating our successes in helping addicts and alcoholics become part of the recovering community, and to celebrate the tremendous power of recovery in the lives of individuals, families, and our entire community. Dawn Farm is the only residential treatment program in the area, and funds raised from this event will help defray treatment costs for individuals who have no other resources.

Part 2 is presented on the second Tuesday of each month from October through June, provides information on what should and should not be done when a teen substance abuse problem is recognized, and concludes with an open talk by a young speaker in recovery. Description:
San Antonio Fighting Back, Inc., in collaboration with many of San Antonio’s non-profit agencies, will join in hosting this 4th annual walk event for prevention educators, treatment providers, clients, families, and interested individuals. The mission for the Recovery Walk SA is to promote awareness of recovery initiatives and celebrate the achievements of all individuals in recovery. There will be a short program to kick off the event followed by the walk through the park. Participants will then return to the pavilion for a Texas style concert, barbeque lunch, and community resource fair. Participants are encouraged to bring family, friends, and pets. Some of the collaborating partners include; San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, B.E.A.T. AIDS, The Patrician Movement, Palmer Drug Abuse Program, Center for Healthcare Services, Lifetime Recovery, and many others. Participation in the walk is FREE and open to the public.
