Science of Addiction and Recovery Training DVD (2009)

Faces & Voices of Recovery has developed a six-hour Science of Addiction & Recovery "train-the-trainer" to give recovery advocates and allies the information and tools they need to educate others about the reality of recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs.
The DVD includes each part of the training. We encourage you to use the materials on the DVD to organize a Town Hall meeting or other public activity to view and discuss the training - or became a trainer yourself and give the training.
Together, the video and support materials will help spread the word about the science behind addiction and recovery.
This DVD includes:
- A 1 hr. and 30 min. video of trainer Flo Hilliard teaching the Science of Addiction & Recovery
- A "Training Tips" video with information about the best strategies for presenting the Science of Addiction & Recovery
- The PowerPoint presentation used in the video, annotated to help you master the material and present the training in your community
- A document named "Other Tips" with various ideas for being a trainer and presenting the material in the best way possible.
