Rally for Recovery! and Recovery Month 2007
As part of Faces & Voices’ work with recovery community organizations, we have been looking for ways to assist groups in promoting their Rally for Recovery! and other events and in raising funds for their work. The McShin Foundation in Richmond, VA approached us about an opportunity to do just that! We hope that you will be interested in working with us to see how a new partnership with a national manufacturer, Accu-Turn, can be used to promote Recovery Month and support local organizations and our national movement.
How it works:
Recovery community organizations contact businesses that do auto work in their community with an informational flier about the program. The flier lets the businesses know that if they purchase any Accu-turn Brake Lathe, Tire Changer or Wheel Balancer between August 1 and October 31, 2007, they will receive a $100 rebate. Along with the rebate, Accu-turn will donate a matching $100 to be split by Faces & Voices of Recovery and your recovery community organization. Accu-Turn will also be promoting Recovery Month and this rebate program through its distribution network.
Here’s the flier about the program.
What recovery community organizations can do:
- Go to any business that does auto work in your community (auto shop, brake shop). Look up these businesses in the Yellow Pages.
- Ask to speak with the manager.
- Tell them about Recovery Month and activities that you have planned in your community. Ask if you can leave fliers about your event in the waiting room or post one on their bulletin board or other place that people in the community can see at their business.
- Tell them about the Rebate Program from Accu-turn that will help support your recovery community organization. Ask them to participate in the National Recovery Month Rebate Program.
- Leave them a flier about the Rebate Program.
Here’s some more information.
