Community Health Leaders Awards

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) has set an October 19 deadline for nominees for its Community Health Leaders awards program that will honor 10 outstanding community leaders who work to expand access to healthcare and social services.

Nominations are now being accepted for the awards, which include cash awards, technical assistance and leadership-development opportunities to support the work of the honorees and raise awareness of their work.

Nominees should be mid-career leaders who have created or substantially improved a health or healthcare initiative in their community that has had a positive effect on a significant number of people. Nominees must be affiliated with a nonprofit or government entity and have received limited or no prior national recognition for their work.

Each award winner will receive $20,000 in recognition of their past work and $105,000 to benefit their organization.

Deadline for nominations is Oct. 19.
