Recovery Symposium video

A video of the May 2008 Recovery Symposium, "Aligning Contexts, Practice, and Concepts to Promote Long-Term Recovery: An Action Plan" is now available from the Institute for Research, Education and Training in Addictions (IRETA). You can download and listen to individual speakers including Bill White; Faces & Voices board members Betty Currier and Phil Valentine; researchers including Advisory Board member Alexandre Laudet; local, state and federal officials; treatment providers and others. Thanks to IRETA and the Great Lakes Addiction Technology Transfer Center for making the event and video possible.

Find Recovery Housing! is an exciting new web resource from the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) that helps people find the recovery housing they need. There's a database of recovery housing, a consumer's guide to recovery housing, trainings and a host of critical resources. Check it out!

Audioconference Series: Exploring Recovery-Based Care for Addiction is now available online. Three audioconferences featuring Bev Haberle from PRO-ACT in Philadelphia, PA; Dr. Westley Clark and other speakers in a collaborative project with the National Conference of State Legislatures, National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors, State Associations of Addiction Services and Faces & Voices of Recovery.

Art of Recovery Expo will be held on September 20 in Scottsdale, Arizona as part of Rally for Recovery. Free and open to the public, the event will feature Todd Crandall, founder of Racing for Recovery, and author Gary Stromberg.

Recovery Radio Live is for families and friends of those in need of help to recover from addiction and the enormous number of people already in recovery. The on-air "home group" serves the recovery community at home, at work and on the road. Founder and host Ricky Leigh can be heard live on Saturday afternoons from 2-4 pm EST from Miami on WTFL-AM 850 and listeners streaming the show in more than 120 countries on. Learn more...
