Association of Recovery Community Organizations

The Association of Recovery Community Organizations at Faces & Voices of Recovery (ARCO) brings established as well as new and emerging groups together to build the unified voice of the organized recovery community by leveraging the profile and unifying force of Faces & Voices. ARCO unites and supports the growing network of local, regional, and statewide recovery community organizations - linking recovery community organizations and their leaders with local and national allies, and provide training and technical assistance to members. ARCO also hosts an annual Executive Directors Leadership Academy, a three-day conference open to the executive directors of member organizations that provides top-level non-profit recovery leadership support and training. Membership is open to any recovery community organization that is led and governed by the recovery community, and engages in advocacy, public education, and/or provide peer recovery support services.

Advocacy with Anonymity is a publication of Faces & Voices of Recovery, The Johnson Institute, Join Together and the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence. It teaches recovery advocates how to speak out publicly without compromising the principles of a 12-Step recovery program in which they may participate.

The Recovery Bill of Rights is a statement of the principle that all Americans have a right to recover from addiction to alcohol and other drugs. It was developed and adopted by Faces & Voices of Recovery’s board of directors and has been endorsed by allied national organizations.
