Mid-Atlantic Regional Representative: Lisa R. Minton
Lisa has spent the past 19 years working to improve the lives of people in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She is the Executive Director of Chrysalis House, which serves over 200 women and their children annually, where she’s had an opportunity to initiate new programs to serve the specialized needs of women and their children. Lisa’s latest initiative resulted in Supportive Housing Opportunities for Women (SHOW) to extend the continuum of care to financial literacy, credit counseling, and homeownership
Before coming to Chyrsalis House, Lisa spent 14 years with the Administrative Office of the Courts, where she recognized the impact of alcohol and drug problems on the criminal justice system and the opportunity for the courts to be part of the solution to this problem. After developing the Fayette Drug Court, she very successfully worked with community partners to take the model across the state to over half the counties in the Commonwealth.
Lisa is a member of the Fayette Circuit Family Court Advisory Council, the Fayette Model Court Steering Committee, the Substance Abuse Epidemiology Work Group, and the Kentucky Criminal Justice Drug Abuse Treatment Studies and lives in Lexington, KY.
