US Recovery Delegate: Guidelines / Expectations
- Each Member will have continuously not used alcohol/illegal drugs for a minimum of 10 years
- There is one Delegate per state and the District of Columbia in 2008. New delegates will be added each year as selected by A&E Network to participate in the Brooklyn Bridge Recovery Rally and agreed to by the individual.
- If a Delegate decides they are no longer able to remain with the group, they are asked to find a replacement.
Each Delegate will:
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to be available and assessable in efforts to support the US Recovery Delegate mission and objectives
- Respond as a State and National liaison for recovery advocacy efforts
- Actively participate with press and media requests
- Honor and abide by all 12-Step Traditions. It is the responsibility of each Delegate to speak about him or herself only. Advocacy with Anonymity provides guidance to Members.
